KIDS, Inc. Owner
I love my job and I enjoy helping families problem solve their everyday routines. I feel like I truly am enhancing families lives by working with them and it brings me such joy! I have been a speech language pathologist for over 20 years in pediatrics. I started my career in the medical setting working in hospitals and gaining learning opportunities. I transitioned to working in Early Intervention system which brought me a great perspective working with families in their homes. In 2007, I co-owned Feeding Friends and brought families together at mealtime to work on feeding skills. Over my 20 years practicing I focused my continued education on motor-based disorders and feeding development. In 2019, I opened my new company KIDS inc, Kids Innovative Developmental Services, with the hopes of providing families with more of a family focused model to helping children in their everyday routines. This allowed me to re-focus on what is important with families, day to day treatment ideas to help their children within the family’s dynamics. Each child is unique and so should their treatment plan of care! I also focus on collaborating with other professionals and people in the community that are involved with the child’s daily life. It is important to collaborate to carryover skills and to understand more of what the child needs in various settings. I am familiar with different learning environments including ABA therapy and collaborate often with these professionals. I hope to be able to serve your family. I have many years of experience with various speech and language disorders, feeding disorders, cognitive disorders, and medically fragile children.

I love my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist! Over the past 7 years as an ASHA-certified SLP, I’ve had the pleasure of serving a variety of families from home-based Early Intervention services to adults in their homes, assisted-living, and long-term care facilities. I am passionate about creating functional goals & strategies to help families communicate and make their daily lives easier!
